I'm pretty sad that I can't get a 2.3L Supercab truck up here in Canada but it occurs to me that it should be quite possible to put my 2.3L regular cab engine into a supercab.
Of course, since I'm buying a new truck, I wouldn't do this anytime soon, but 5 years from now when my ass gets a bit fatter, the truck is paid off, the warranty has fully expired, the price of gas is $2.50/L, and I'm utterly frustrated with the limited space in the regular cab, I know there will be a ton of used supercab trucks available (there is already, up here in B.C.) and it occurs to me that maybe I can pick one up and swap the engines.
Maybe it's a totally impractical idea, but any idea how much labor this would be? Would I just need to get someone to swap the engines, or would other parts need to be swapped, too? (both manual transmissions, btw).
