I have an EFI 5 liter in my 86 and all of the lights pulsate when its running. Any ideas? It is the most annoying thing i have ever seen.

Weak battery, weak or undersized alternator, bad voltage regulator, poor connection at the battery terminals, bad ground(s).
Any of the above may be simple causes for your problem.
