I saw a bl at the local pickin pull today and I think I might go and pull it off the truck. If it has a shifter extension i might pull that too just in case.My question is besides your normal hand tools what you recommend bringing? Thanks guys.

Bring a Sawzall, or use theirs, if you spot something you need to get to!

Basic toolkit is all that's needed, bring some WD-4 and pliers with the wirecutter part on them too. Better safe than sorry

A BL is not that expensive. I think 150 tops. Its going to be a huge PITA to pull it at a JY.

a can of PB Blaster and a breaker bar. If they let you bring a cutting torch, that might be handy as well. I would bring a 3lb mini sledge and an assortment of sharpened cold chisels and a hacksaw too.

Bring whatever you think would help you get to the parts you need!

Man...used? IDK, Bro, due to some issues could be wrong with it....but I would just buy it new (about $150) and get a warranty on it and all new parts.

The shifter extension is sold seperatly so at least grab that.

The lift itself is going to be a PITA to pull in a JY, you will need a jack or something to lift the body off the pucks and spare bolts/nuts to keep it from sliding off the frame when you do the last side.

Get new hardware and you should be good to go once you get it off.

If it's for your first gen and the installer was able to get the bolts in the factory sleaves at the core support you may as well forget about it. You will need a torch and grinder to get it apart there which by then will have ruined the lift blocks. Years ago I know I paid like $100 for an entire body lift with the extensions, it's around $160 brand new at summit racing. If it's an easy pick sure it could be worth it but for not much more and half of your labor you can have a new one.

I went back today to try and get it off. An hour into it I gave up. I think in just gonna go out and buy one, its just for a set of blocks I don't want to pay the 150 or so. Maybe cuz I don't think it's worth that when I have to get the bushings too.

I would try and get the shifter extension off of it. You can get the lift blocks from summit for 3-4 bucks a piece. Buy grade 8 hardware from a local store and that might save a few bucks.

I looked and it didn't have one so I might buy one and if I need it ill use it. I might try and buy the blocks delegate and see what it comes out to.
