My credo
If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
Anybody know the current Army PT standards for a 27yo female? The most current I can find is 2006 and I know they changed in 2008.

You aren't shipping your wife off to bootcamp are you?

she scored a 99 percentile on the asvab........ they are going to pay her to go to medical school.

Edit: not only pay for medical school but pay her to go to medical school.

:icon_rofl:

You know the honeymoon's over when...

Good deal BDAB...but that means 4 to 10 years of army life for her...maybe more...do they make her sign some sort of contract that commits to a time frame?

Does this mean that BDAB will be becoming the "Army Wife"? LOL

I think it would be a great thing though to get that training.

BDAB, according to the Army's website (www.goarmy.com) the standards for her are listed below.

Basic Training:
Push Ups = 10 in 2 minutes
Sit Ups = 36 in 2 minutes
2 Mile Run = 21 minutes 42 seconds

Those are the lowest she can get to pass the PT test.

To score a perfect score and get an excellent mark on her record she would need to do:
Push Ups = 42 in 2 minutes
Sit Ups = 73 in 2 minutes
2 Mile Run = 17 minutes

I got it from the calculator on their website found here:

If she decides to join, good luck to her and YOU. I am going myself, going WOFT (Warrant Officer Flight School).

I was bout to say, wow, I could do that on 36 hours without sleep and half drunk.

But then I clicked the link and saw the standards I'm supposed to be able to do.

I think I could get the "Maintaining" level but the APFT badge would take a few weeks of work. Like boot camp.

White people--blinding me...I have to find sunglasses before I can figure out what I have to do to be army strong.

The standards for female inthat age group are alot lower than they are for men, but she only needs to maintain the standards long enough to get throuhg boot. The buddy system between the docs will take care of the rest of her career. As long as she can run pretty good she'll fly by.

Also in basic they are looking for 50 points in each event instead of 60 to pass, once she starts AIT then the min score is the 60 points in each event.

Officers and Doc's don't go to boot or AIT. Docs and chaplains have the same PT standards after OCS...... whatever (pt standards.... I know what OCS is) that is.

Whoever told you that lied to you. The ONLY way to get out of 10 week (1 week reception and 9 weeks BCT) boot camp is to be in ROTC in college. Even then you still have a 3 week mini-boot camp, the OCS school, and then some sort of AIT.

I am going in the Army and then to WOCS after BCT, and still have to go to the 10 week BCT, WOCS, and then AIT.

Just left the recruiter and she will be going to 12 weeks of OCS.... not boot camp.

I was in WOCS (I broke my leg and washed out) and yes you have to go to BCT and WOCS and then your specialty to because you have to be enlisted first to be a warrant officer. but you can go from college to OSC without BCT because that is taught at OCS.
