PSP holder

I have a redneck contraption in my truck that uses one of those fm broadcasters that hooks up to a psp. I modified the broadcaster and made the antenna a little bit longer. Before I modified it the range was about five feet on a unused radio station. Now the range is more than fifty feet on a radio station that is used. That means that when I pull up to a red light and there is some ricer blaring crappy music from a radio station, I can set my psp to the same station and he automatically starts blaring the music of my choice

Anyway, I got tired of having my psp sitting on the seat and falling on the floor and everything, so I made a holder for it that sits in the center console of the truck. I'm happy with it, but it could be a little better. I may add some blue LED's to light up the ford logo.

made of an old psp case, and a couple old plastic rullers.... mine is ghetto fabbed yours is more designed lol
and i just use a av in cable to play it through the car.

I'm pretty sure that seeing yours was what inspired me to build mine. I will eventually switch to an av cable, but that's after I get a new head unit.

and will that transmitter go between cars at red light? that would be cool to mess with people like he said, like if you were in the hood and played some country on the local rap station....

Yup, that's what I do. I'm usually playing country music anyway, so as long as I have it set to the local rap station I can still listen to my music and they have to listen to it too.

I'm pretty sure I saw the picture of your setup in the thread about your truck, I guess it was a build thread.

well its not really a build thread just a heres my truck thread type thing but what ever, and the pink camera.... yeah thats duct tape.. my moms camera stopped workin, so i took it apart and found the problem but couldnt fix it and have it back in the original housing so i bought her a new one and just wrapped the innards of the camera in duct tape. works like a charm lol.

I'm you guys are using the PSP for a music player and not a game console or movie watching while driving. I have a PSP also, but I never thought to do that. Thou the Ranger already has a MP3 player from CD. So it gives me something like 200 songs to listen to.

I like the idea of messing with those loud annoying radios.

That's right. I only use it for music, I have a 1gig memory stick, so it's next to useless for movies, and I don't feel like buying a umd movie when I could get a dvd that will play on a much larger screen.

The fm transmitter was $15 at a local electronics shop, and modifying it was free so it's a pretty good deal.
