Projector headlights for gen3 ranger

Does anybody have these on there gen3 ranger? If so how good is the visibility? Pros&cons! I don't want to waste money on a pos system!

honestly, i wouldn't bother with them... i think they are gimmicy and ugly... those projectors use halogen (stock) bulbs, i would never do projectors without going to HID and i would never do HID without projectors... get a retrofit kit and do it properly if you want to go with projectors, it will look better, it will work better, and you will have more pride in it because it's not just some bolt on crap, it's something you made work...

use something like this, it comes with the angel eye, it comes with the bulbs, and it comes with the projectors... this kit does NOT come with ballasts, though they can be cheap...

they make different styles also, so take a look around, some look better than others, there is a new style that has LED's facing rearward, that you can change the color of, plus the halo, and the HID, the LED's light up the housing, it's pretty cool

This guy has similar lights on his truck, I requested that he do pics from inside the truck with the projectors and they look pretty good. He had to do some slight tweaking to get the lights to work good, but in the end, it turned out good.

Otherwise, if you want, you can get some diamond cut lights and do a projector retrofit on them, that cheap ebay kit will work or go to this website: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/. They have complete retrofit kits that will work. i have the head lights on my rig....not using the "projectors".....just a type of fog light really. but i like the looks of them on nice tail gate at night

What kind of fog light? Have any pics of it lit up against a wall? I'm looking for something similar that you just described.

I have those lights on my truck. Look nice, but they are cheap. I bought them because my factory headlights were pretty well trashed and these were cheap and update the look of the truck a little. I figured for the price it wouldn't hurt to try.

As for lighting performance... they use the factory headlight bulbs, so its pretty close to stock. The bulb retainers are questionable, though. In fact I was missing one and just used duct tape to secure the bulb.

I have the auxiliary lights hooked up to come on with the ignition. They do little to help light the road at night, but work well as daytime runners.
