Brandizzle mobile? is that the sport trac? itd probally be better but if you gotta get to a remote area svt would be my choice lol

if it takes something like SVT to get to an emergency, i feel sorry for whoever is driving the actual water truck. lol

I defintely think you should turn the Brandizzle mobile into the DD.
Thats the plans, although if I don't do a gear swap, it'll get a 3" BL as its running 410 gears from what I remember, so it'll get 33's instead of a gear swap...I seriously thought about turning this into a trail rig at one point just cause of the 4 doors (Since the new woman has one that likes to go wheelin), but have since changed my mind and gonna make it an official Mall Crawler :icon_thumby:

Time for updates....I got the 44 spring pads relocated, since the eye to eye on the 44 was 31.5" and the 60 is 36.5", this presented a small problem on the driver side pad since the factory one is cast into the diff housing and there is not enough room to for a full pad...So I cut one pad down on one side, and welded both sides on the short side for extra strength. All of the weight will not be resting on the weld, as about 1/4 of the leaf spring will be on the original pad, not the added pad. So for you pic whores, on with the pics :icon_thumby:

Here you can see how the new pad sits to the original pad, and how the spring will rest on the original pad along with the new pad...

I need to clean the threads of the wheel studs on the passenger side ( was at the point where I didnt feel like it) So it looks like the camber is way off, but its actually the lug nuts are not all the way tight. I have a tap that I need to run on the studs to clean them up, but I needed to get the truck out the road, and it was only going about 20 feet back, so I just left it for now. I need to pull it back down for the calipers (need replacement before road worthy), so it'll have to come back off anyways...

So, I switched projects last night and needed to work on the CJ...I pulled the tank out since it was sucking up rust to the carb, so I dropped the tank to replace the sending unit (fuel gauge didn't work either), and I found the tank was rusted on the inside. So I decided to split the tank and clean it out, then I POR'd it to stop the rust. Today or tomorrow I'll weld the tank back together and get it back under the CJ, then get the rear brakes done on it. The owner is ready to have it back, so it's now top priority....

A bug decided to commit suicide....Kinda hard to see....

While this is curing, I called it a night (9pm). I've replaced all 4 axleshafts and joints, replaced the seats, replaced the master cylinder, and fuel filter. I need to replace the fuel filter again (sucked up rust from the tank), fab some seat brackets (the ones now make you feel like your sitting in a space shuttle awaiting launch), then it'll be ready to go back to the original owner, and one project will be complete :yahoo:

...:shok: a finished project? ive heard of no such thing..

lol looks good. one question though howd you cut the tank? a kid in my auto class in high school decided to weld his tank to get rid of the return line and even though it was dry and had been sitting empty he still managed to get the nickname boom boom and put a dent in the ceiling haha

Wow you need another project

I rinsed the tank out several times with water, leaving the hose in the tank and "flooding" the tank, basically pushing all the old fuel and fumes out of the tank. Did this several times, then it sat outside in open air for about 2 weeks, I cut it open with the sawzall...I was going to use the cutoff wheel, but decided to use the sawzall so I would have a better joint to weld back....
Wow you need another project
I have one, its a 2002 Ford explorer sport trac :icon_thumby:

My contacts are my safeties....Actually, the glasses I was wearing kept fogging up and I couldn't see. I want to get me a pair of those goggles that fit like glasses, just haven't found them yet...

Oh and meant something more along the lines of some axles in a B2 for a project. What do ya charge an hour:icon_twisted:
