Wow. Worse in that photo hah. Looks like u 3 in body lifted right side only.

It's actually from a broken cab mount...rusted through the body, but has been fixed :icon_thumby:

damn! That's crazy!!

Rick, did you guys happen to find an extra alternator?

Not yet, but I'll be hitting the junkyard soon, and I'll pick one up for ya :icon_thumby:

Well, time for the long overdue update....I got the 60 pulled today, and tried to bolt up the 8 lug 44 I had around...Turns out the spring pads are in different locations, the 44 is about 4" narrower on the pad mounts, WMS to WMS is about the same, I think its only about 1/4 to 1/2" off, so I'm not worried about that....

So after I found out I will need to move/fab some perches on the 44, it came back out and both the 44 and 60 are in the shop awaiting fab work....

So, with another day ended, and FordZilla not sitting on tires like I had planned to do (wanted to pull the 60 and install the 44 and have it sitting on tires by the end of the day), this is what FordZilla looks like at the end of today....

On another note, as if I don't have enough projects, I have collected one more....I am now the owner of a 2002 Sport Trac. Yes, some of you will recognize this as my ex's ST. Anyways, here it is....
SVT224.jpg

Not sure what the plans are, whether I'm just going to get another trans and driveshaft for it (thats all thats wrong with it!!), or if I'm going to source a 2000 V8 explorer as a donor for it. Plans are to return it to DD status and it might become my new response vehicle since SVT is getting a little too far off of streetability to be a response truck....

as shitty as everyone said those sport tracs are i dunno my buddy had one bought it for 21 grand rolled it 4 months later took out a guard rail and a telephone pole put a hole new front end in it. drove it for another year then his gf rolled it. he had to replace the spindles again. then he drove it for another 6 months b4 he bought a stroker. then sold the sport trac for $2600 lol. he towed car trailers with it. took a fullsize suburban full of scrap to the yard along with his bed full the the top with brake rotors at the same time. i was impressed with it haha

The ST has the same WB as an x-cab ranger (uses same one piece driveshaft), and basically is just an explorer with a bed...

i know im just sayin they hold up much better then everyone says, whenever i mention one everyone rips thm up but around here thats about as close as you can get a 4 door ranger (its close enough) id rock one if it was sas'd especially if i could retro fit a ranger grill and headlights into it

Yeah, the only down side to them is the bed, the floor is not made of steel, and can't carry much weight. But it will be perfect for what I plan to use it for, since it will only be carrying my emergency gear....It has a tow hitch on it so if I need to carry something a little heavier, I'll just tow a trailer...I'm definitely thinking of a V8 swap in it though, I got spoiled with SVT having a V8 :D

I defintely think you should turn the Brandizzle mobile into the DD.

Brandizzle mobile? is that the sport trac? itd probally be better but if you gotta get to a remote area svt would be my choice lol
