Project Street Sweeper

The stock T5 will move your shifter back almost between the seats, so be ready for that if you go that route. I think you can use an S10 tailshaft and get it closer to the stock location but it's been awhile since I looked into a T5. Here's a thread about swapping tailshafts: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/t5-tailshaft-swap-for-dummies-with-pictures.280529/

T5 hydraulic clutch kits are available, so that part should be doable, it's just going to add to the cost of the swap.

It might be a good idea to pop over to TurboRangerForum to see how many of those guys are still running stock Ranger transmissions. They're the biggest and best resource I've seen for the 2.3T stuff.

I was planning on running two separate bucket racing seats, so moving the shifter doesn't seem like too big of an issue but will definitely look into the hydraulic parts and the tails halts.
I would just rather not risk it, like I wouldn't want to be in the truck worrying if today the Trans will go on me

The shifter being moved back is more of a hassle ergonomically than anything. Some people are ok with it, others hate it.

So you mean the shifter would be more in between the seats? Kinda like if you where in a mustang to begin with?

Project Street Sweeper just probably took a drastic turn... I don't think it should be called street sweeper haha. The street truck will probably be turing into an offroad truck. I found all the parts I need to make it a 4x4 for $1500.

chevy 350 motor
chevy 360 trans
ford 205 transfer case
14 bolt rear axle
f350 front axle with hydraulic steering
38" INTERCO boggers
