Project RedBull

wow thats a lot of good news lol

the AC is in the way of the inlet...for now...so I wont be cuting any holes in the hood for awhile, there is still plenty of time for my mind to change

THE CLUTCH GOT REPLACED TODAY!!!! and RSH your right, it feels like a brand new trans when I drive it, I only drove it a short period of time but it never slipped out of gear, so hopefully that fixed it. On the way home from the guy's house I stalled it like 5 times, I got so used to having the clutch come all the way out before it grabbed. A mini miracle is that my oil pressure sending unit is suddenly working now, making that the first time all my gauges work, don't know what he did but...SWEET!!!! Hopefully it stays working.

In the next couple days I'm gonna order some bright calypso green touch up spray paint, and that along with taking of the decals on the vehicle will be my project for spring break. I may have found some rims and tires, trade a trailer for them, if the guy ever emails me back.

told u that a new clutch would make a diference!
hope u get those rims! and good luck removing the stripes, i hope u wont scratch it more lol

i installed my brush guard today, check it out when u get a chance

to get the stripes off you gotta heat them up first, AKA hair dyer, then with a very sharp razor blade, slice them off, SLOWLY

I think I have an idea, I wanna do a amber foglight behind the bumper that would show thru the 2 slits in it, and my idea was I could use a gen 1 blinker
and tie it in to the amber driving lights...I think it would look cool

and RSH I checked out your brush gaurd and it looks tight.

Went to the JY today and picked up a cluster with a tach!!!!

I already switched out the odemeter to the original so it reads right and it seems like everything works...

3250RPM!!!! It's amazing to know what rpm you drive at normally.

your oil pressure is gauge is low:icon_twisted:

were your keys?:icon_confused: :icon_twisted:

lol keyless driving, thats cool
and yeah the oil gauge is a pressure switch
i think 7 lbs of pressure is the min parameter, lower and it will go into low

my oil pressure gauge reads higher than that while its on.

i think your grill would look nice blacked out.

In rangers the oil pressure gauge in rangers are a switch either they are on, meaning their is pressure, or they are off, no oil pressure, here's a lesson...http://rogueperformance.com/oilsw.html

and the no key thing, the tumblers are so worn in the truck I don't need keys to start it.:icon_twisted:

gotcha. my 73 blazers the same way....made for a interesting explanation when i got pulled over for the frist time:icon_twisted:

Well I found out the speedo jumps alot over 45mph and the light that imluminates the speedo around 45mph isnt working, I'll pull out the cluster and see whats all wrong monday, it will give me credit in autos for the day. But boy its so different with a tach, I LOVE IT!!!!

No update, sorry. I know what your thinking tho, and there is a point to this post. Check the first post under the engine section, there is a change...

If your were too lazy to go back to the first post or if you did and you're just reading this...YES, I'M GONNA GO V8!!!!

It will be a long awhile before I even think of starting it, but it makes sense since I will have my sisters escort and dont need a economical truck. Plus I would rather be able to say I have a V8!!!! I dont know what I'm doing size wise, or whether Im going carbed or EFI, or whether Im going auto or manual but this will all come with planning, research, and the donnor vechile and more research.

Though you guys would of like to hear this...:icon_thumby:
