Project Hooptee

No not yet. I have to either find a shaft that is 3" longer or have mine extended. The stock Dana 35 shaft is too short. Also need to build a new track bar and axle mount since the angle is not not correct. Switched the rear axle to the 7.5(which is already geared to 4.56), changed flange on drive line, redid rear brakes since I never had them, fixed my passenger mirror, and put the stock bumper back on for now until I figure out a winch bumper design that I like.

how do you like them tires i m getting a set of them for summer they do good offroad

I have ran them on all of my trucks. The do decent off road but not so much if it gets muddy. They turn into slicks. But overall I like them.

Well first couple shake down runs down. Found I have wander in the steering cause of tie rod roll. Ordered RuffStuff's "The Cure" to see if that fixes the problem. It's only the drag link tie rod that connects to the wheel to wheel tie rod where the roll is. Everything else is tight. Speedo is dead on with the tire and gear change. Happy about that. Looked back at what this truck started as till now. Looks a lot better.

That thing looks awesome! When you get it all buttoned up, show us some flex pics! Also, what size tires are you running? I don't think you have said it yet.

I've had a little here and there.

Then I got some bad orange peel. Forgot to turn the gun down to 20psi. Shot it at 110psi Oops.

Looks great!!! Where did u get the recovery brackets at or did u make them?

Thanks for the info

Waiting to afford gears first before I stick the new driveline in.

Well I have been doing some work here and there on the project.

New LED's for the dash, HVAC, dome, and reverse lights.

Redid the rear spring packs along with suspension parts.

Also found a 97 XJ axle which already has 4.56 gears in it. Along with new ball joints, u-joints, axle seals, welded in new RuffStuff bushings instead of the stock control arm bushings, welded on a new track bar mount, drilled the coil buckets for my springs, welded on new shock mounts. Took the knuckles, hubs, and brakes from my old dana 30 and put them on the new dana 30. It's nice when they use the same ball joints and saves on money when I replaced all those things already recently.
