Project Hooptee

Lookin good man! She's turning out real clean. I suggest going with the Jeep coils. The ride will be night and day smoother.
What did you use for your bump stops? I'm thinking about building some like that for my rig.

I got rid of my xj coils and I am currently looking for some early bronco lift coils to use instead. I am a little worried about the xj coils being to soft in the front when I tow my travel trailer. Don't need to sink the front end every time I come to a stop. Bumpstops I actually built from 2 pieces of 9" DOM Tube 1.5" X .120" and 3/16" plate for top ring that is welded into the bucket and another round piece for the bottom where the rubber bumpstop mounts. I drilled a hole through the bottom plate and tapped for the bolt on the rubber bumpstop. Pretty simple design.

Things left to do are:

Run new front brake hard lines
Align front end
Build track bar
Build drag link
Fill fluids
Bleed clutch and brake lines
Finish painting Dana 30, track bar, drag link, and diff covers.

You're almost there! Another couple weekends and you oughta be able to drive her!

Alright everybody I am to the point where I need to come up with an axle mount for the track bar. Since it was CAD axle I cannot just weld a mount to the axle tube and call it good. Also I cannot connect the track bar to the stock location due to the steering interfering with the bracket. So that was cut off. Anybody have ideas they can throw at me for this?

FYI. XJ coils would be perfect under a reg cab like this for everyday use. I have 190 PPI XJs under my SuperCab and it does not nose dive under braking.

Good to know. Maybe I will play around with both the xj and early bronco coils.

Added some 2" wheels spacers for the rear and painted the passenger side of the bed. Waiting for my buddies brother to weld on my track bar mount to the axle since I do not have the ability to weld 3/8" steel.

Been doing some some things since I am busy with work lately. Got the transmission back in and all bolted up. Still need to finish a shifter, transmission cross member, hook up drivelines, track bar mount, drag link and brake lines.

I like those wheels. What are they?

You know Jim I honestly don't know what brand they are. They came on my B2 when I bought it. They look close to race-line rock crushers but have 4 less holes on the wheel.

Look like Welds
