Project dropzone.. 91 reg cab short box 4.0 aut

i did mine blue.. and left all the aluminum parts regular. but i didn't prep the block good enough so its peeling now..

no big deal. i'll redo whenever i have to pull the motor again. right now my focus is elsewhere.

well I went and got some sand paper for the DAs and some aircraft remover and started the body work..

I hate air craft stripper, reminds me of cleaning out horse stalls lol. But looks like a good start on a nice truck

thanks rockin I have tried a few diff types of paint strippers that are locally available and the kwik strip aircraft remover by far works the best ..

Thats what i have had the most luck with too, but i hate using it. I actually prefer sanding but i like being able to start fresh with metal when using the stripper

I use the striper to cut down on the number of sanding disks i have to buy... My DA has gotten a workout on this project as well :)

well i got in the shop fer abit tonight and worked on the truck.. I cut some patches and welded them in.. also closed up about 5 holes that had been drilled in the bed side..

well I had to turn on the A/C in the shop.. dam its humid ...

I laid some cheep blue paint in a few spots to act as a guide coat .. I have a 2 foot and a 4 foot sanding blocks on there way .. the funn part of all this is getting the longer flat panel portions of this truck straight .. gona be alot of skim coating and sanding it back of too get the whole thing looking good and ready for paint..
Here's a few picks of the slow progress

(as much finished as any of us ever are! lol)

yah i use the hell out of the ones on my daily driver but this truck wont be hauling to much anymore ..

with the heat that we are saposed to get for the next week, we'll see how much I can accomplish.. I have ac in my shop but i need to get some ceiling fans to move the air around..

i wish i had an a/c'ed shop.........
