Project Double R...

Those lights are sick! They look perfect on there.

Whats up with the rusty cage already tho??

Thanks! Uhhh we had snow so cage started rusting since I have not painted it. Rust is a lot different then what you are used to in the Midwest. Here once there is thin coat of rust on something it stops rusting and you can go years if you really wanted to without touching it and it would be fine( I drove the summer and fall with no paint on the cage in rain storms and all no rust they have been spraying the roads so that is why it started). I plan on painting it once I finish it. I have only been in my new place for about a month and half. Been trying to get the shop going and keep the wife happy fixing things in the house. And the weather has been crap. Ready for March got a lot planned this year. LOL

Scored a Dana 60 and Explorer 8.8 Double R hauled it like a champ...

The 4.0 in Rock Ranger is really starting to struggle showing it's age and rough life it had. So rather then pickup a new engine for it I started ordering parts for a V8 swap. Already have a complete Mustang CPU and wiring harness, motor mounts are on the way, found a couple V8s here in town, going to source a 5 speed here soon. I am pretty excited. But the boss said I have to get 2.0 and Lazyboy rolling before I can pull RR apart. :D

What mounts did you go with?

Hahahaha! That is soo awesome! I watched that with my wife and tried to convince her that we need one. But no dice... Haha

You need to get your camera person a golf cart or something. lol

Any tips on welding that tube to the top of the differential? I don't have nickel rod, tried heating up the diff (don't think I did enough) and welded a pretty good bead where my tube hits my diff. Put a little heat on it after the weld to control the cooling and pinged the bead pretty good...but this evening when I came home it had cracked.
