so you have just over 5k to build it!!

ha kinda...but 2k is going into savings....college books and other stuff

yeah that's the responsible thing to do.... shame shame! lol j/k.

i know i know, it will be a first hahahah

Damn nice build this is the first i've checked it out saw the commit in your wrecked thread. I really like the build I can't wait to see what you do next. An I know i'm like 7 months late but I had a similar wheel bearing incident happen to me. I was able to cut the bearing with a grinder down to the spindle then tap it with a hammer and chisel to break it loose. Once I got the inner part off I couldn't get the new one back on due to the spindle warped from the heat (I drove mine home after bearing went) had to take the grinder and grind down the warpage to fit new bearing on. I have pics.

Heres basicly what I saw when I took everything apart

what it looked like after it was all cleaned up inner bearing stuck on shaft.

What was left of the bearing.

What a bearing is spose to look like for those who don't know.

Heres how I grinded it down till it was thin enough to crack the metal with a chisel.

With a flatbed typically being wider than a standard body, you could probably put an axle on there from an F-150?

she's back on the road, replaced the distorted 7.5 with a 31spline 8.8. scraped the flatbed idea and just put a regular bed back on her. had to save some money, the turbo project is taking some funds at the moment. we are fixing the cage tonight (had to cut it for the bed to go on) i will post up some pictures tonight, feels so good to be driving it again...drove it 150 miles yesterday (3rd day back on the road) with out a single issue

as promised, i have some pictures. just a day or two later than i said.
