Project 4x4 Commuter Mazda

yeah for sure. I always felt as though our trucks were like cousins, for some reason. Similar mods, similar outlook.

cheers.

there was i guy i just saw on here who put it in the bedside. but on the outside cut a recess and all i think it looked sick and used some good wasted space. plus u could use the piece u cut out to make a door and cover it up again

bingo.

Might have just destroyed my box but im not sure. i'll have to see how it works for the long run. I will be taking the headace rack off shortly. i hate washing out the back of the truck so i will be throwing on a tooneau cover and be able to just switch to the topper when i go camping/racing.

what the high lift for :icon_confused:

:icon_rofl:
no I like that never seen that before looks :headbang:

haha yeah I seen that picture too, I like the idea but I'm not cutting into my otherwise just fine sheet metal to mount my high lift there. Its similar idea to Ram's new truck box on their new half tons (and soon on their new HD's too). Works great for him.

K I decided to put it on the roof, stopped by the hardware store and bought some rod couplings and 1" mini exhaust clamps. :icon_welder:

Alright its mounted [the high lift]. I'll post pics tomorrow. Its below freezing and dark so I'm callin' it quits for tonight.

Here is the finished product. Still need to buy some kid of flexible lock to ward off thefties. And later down the road I'm gonna exchange the bolt for a piece of all thread that I will weld into the rod coupling, and use a big homemade wing nut instead.

Its extremely sturdy, just in case anyone was wondering :D

Truck sits at 6'-9.25".....parking garage is 7' or a tadge less sometimes (my radio antenna hits). I have about 2.75" room for error lol.

not after you get bigger tires

jack mount looks good, nice work

Yeah I know...I'll have to park in the flat lander parking spots.....a mile from class lol. Maybe I'll take my bike so I don't have to walk.

So my 31's measure 29.5" right now, and according to BFG their 33's stand at 32.8" meaning overall height will increase by 1.65"....putting me at just under 7'. No room for error their.

could you mount the jack on the bottom side of the bars?? i think it'd look better.

but yeah, i'm loving this build... nice build up of daily driver and weekend warrior. i'm loving it, that's what i'm going for with my b2.
