Once I finish out the front end with a hawse and D2's, it will be pretty clean I might add :D

Hawse on the way, D2's in a couple weeks.

I might sell my locker tomorrow to a local guy on CL. Wow it only took 3 months...

You're spending a lot in lights... Spare me some cash! I need a winch!

My question, why a steering Damper? Did you have issues and need it? Curious bc I'm gonna have a similar front axle setup

I'm a light addict.

Three reasons for the damper.

1) steering box gears are getting loose a there is play in the steering wheel

2) Helps with tracking straight (due to above reason)

3) reduces what little bump steer I have offroad

In essence it is a bandaid for the steering geometry not being absolutely perfect and for a worn out steering gear box.

I intend to replace the box however with my eventual SAS.

You can't tighten up your steering box? Or will it not tighten up any more?

Haven't tried. Might look at it today.

Page 69 FTW!!! So you done any work to the d-44 lately?

Nope. Though I brought home from work a carbon arc gouging tool, a K4000. It uses compressed air and a carbon electrode to blow out welds. Might get to that part of the process in the next few weekends.

Sold my Lock-Rite today :headbang: Hello D2's or sliders :D

Sliders are more important IMO

Not when you consider the amount of actual wheeling I do!

Got my onboard air all wired and hooked up today. This new compressor is badass...I used my impact gun to cinch down the lug nuts on two tires........

Also, I ordered a pair of D2 LED's, with tube clamp mounts, clear covers, and amber covers.

Yep. They will more than double the light output of my 10" bar. The bar is 3950 lumens, and apparently the D2's are 2600 lumens each. Wow! I really look forward to getting them installed.

So would you say you are happy with yours?

oh yea. theyre amazing. i have them placed in my fog slots. theyre really bright and incredibly durable. youll love them. where are you gonna mount them?
