I want to have the new 8.8 geared by the first of July, and the D35 regeared by the first of Augs. and the 8.8 under the truck that same day I get the D35 back....first or second week in Aug.

Still need simple 8.8 swap kit from Ruff Stuff, and a No-Slip locker. Oh and chevy 63" leafs...

Why do you need a simple swap kit? It's wasted money IMO

What gears are in the axle?

I want the whole kit besides the shock tabs...I hate those shock tabs they put in their kit.

I want to go with their perches, u-bolts, and spring plates cuz their business is very close by (local) and I have a buddy who works there.

Gears are 3.73, with a trak-lok

i agree, screw the kit. for my 8.8 swap i spent:

perches from 4wheel parts: $22
shock tabs from ballistic with a 3.25" radius: $2 (99 cents per side)
3.25" u-bolts from autozone: $25

$50 for all that. i did leave out the spring plates b/c i'm using the old exploder ones that i cut down. but hey, it's your $$$. the simple swap is $120 (obviously you wont have to pay for shipping if they're close). it woulda been $140ish to get it all the way to me, but i'm on the other side of the country. i could buy 1.5 tanks of gas with the $90 i'm saving

I would buy the ruffstuff kit 10 times over. The plates are 3/8" thick, the u bolts are 5/8 fine thread, grade 8. The pirches are longer to help with axle wrap, all around a great kit and the price is fair. And you get 10% off, so it is like free shipping, and besides that they use flat rate boxes so order a lot of stuff and it still only cost 10 bucks to ship. I would get the diff cover with the kit, it is cheaper that way. Very nice kit, worth every cent.

Kyle knows what's up. The ruff stuff perches and plates are all serious beef, and their u-bolts are ginormous compared to the stock RBV stuff. All in all their products are top quality and meant to never break. And I can stop there any day of the week on my way to or from my house, they are literally 2 min from my house. And I have never paid full retail on anything I have ever bought from them. Cash in hand always gets a discount :thefinger:

I don't mind the extra cost, I want bullet proof remember...stock parts just don't cut it in this case :icon_thumby:
