Project 4x4 Commuter Mazda

u know i can get u discounts at ruffstuff

How much?

Cuz I live down the street 2 min from there shop, and I know a guy who welds their axles there. So I don't have to pay shipping, and they usually cut me a slick deal cuz I'm dealin' cash. :headbang:

cash is always good...lol. cash talks better than anything else

10% not much but its something maybe if u get a better deal i can pay u and have u get me a rear diff cover

I'll ask. You need a 8.8 cover?

Washed, clay barred, polished, waxed and washed again the truck today. As well as helped dad get the jeep mostly together.

So I nailed one big project off my list. The next 3 are:

Finish idler arm
Finish 8.8
Finish sliders

yup 8.8 cover just those covers are so much cash i dont have so i been doing all the small mods

I'll see what I can do, though more likely than not shipping is gonna be killer.

it'll fit in a flat rate box... lol
how much does it weigh? b/c shipping up to 75 lbs is like $10 or something, as long as it fits in the box.

i think it's the medium flat rate box.. and its $11 to ship! lol

oh, and make sure to get the countersunk bolts and drain plug.. its NICE

Weld on at stock 6*? Or more? Or less? I can always shim....Though it seems now with beltechs, and SJ 4" lift spings the pinion center line is directly in line with the driveshaft centerline = no bueno = zero pinion angle. While under load it is probably slightly negative. Maybe I will just wait and see....and get some shims ahead of time.

Weld it on the truck. I always figure point the pinion up at the t case so the drive shaft is up higher, thinking I set mine at 10*.

why dont you hook everything up, tack it in, then take it off and burn it for good

Are you saying that the pinion is directly in line with your driveline @ static ride height?

I might, I'm trying to minimize down time though so I might burn it before hand. I need a day to to install the 8.8 and tear down the D35 beam/radius arm...and another day to button everything back together and work out the bugs so its drivable a Monday morning.

That's my plan. Just tack the perches on and then look, see if I like it
