the TJM part number is a M1386A

Thanks Scottg. I need to make a cradle like that in the future so I don't have to re-adjust my bumper after every time I use the winch.

Bought one of these, I need to cut it in half or thirds and bolt it to the bed so I can tie down my two spares and two jerry cans.

Should I mount the spares standing up or laying down?

I would say whatever looks the best, try it both ways with a mock up, and take mo' pictures!!!

if you don't need the extra space i'd say laying down...

Here's your options people. I can't decide what to do (yet). This is going to be a permanent setup and the tires will be there for good. I also want room for my two jerry cans.

Standing up:
Pro: More bed space, room to mount jerry cans on the sides
Con: New blindspot

Laying Down:
Pro: No blind spots
Con: Less bed space, less room for jerry cans

I'm leaning towards standing them up.

I'd go with laying down, simply because it doesn't block the beer window

looks better standing up, but the loss of visibility isnt worth it. Lay them down.

The bulb came on:

Ok, what I'll do is make the platform with the e-tracks dual purpose. Then I can run them standing up when I go on a trip and have a little more room. And for daily driving I'll lay them down. Means I need to go buy one more e-track...

Tomorrow on my way to work I'll but another one, and cut both in half, giving me four e-track segments.

In either configuration, the extra two tracks will give me a way to secure my jerries.

I still need to get two e-track clip in ratcheting tie downs, cable, and a lock or two.

Thats what I was going to say, another option would be one on either side of the bed, but it would still be a huge blindspot

Agreed, it looks much better with them standing up. But the blind spots are uber bad.

However, the extra bed space will be much appreciated when on a trip...

Any way you slice it, having two spares sucks (until I actually need one or both I guess :icon_twisted:)

You place an order tonight, it might be on your doorstep in 2 days or less! Better yet, maybe you can just go pick it up and save on shipping altogether?
