I just droped in a 2.5 1999 after block and head rebuild. The engine fired up fine, it ran a little rough at low RPM for about 10min and then there was a ping under the valve cover and it died. Pulled the intake off and the valve cover, we found a broken rocker arm on #1 piston. Its sunday and no parts stores where open at 5pm. Two questions, should I go back to the shop that did the rebuild and ask them to replace the rocker arm or just order a new one? Second I have been looking around online and I can't seem to find any providers for this part. Any suggestions would be much appriciated.

I'd go back and tell the shop.Let me know if you can't find one and I'll get one out.Ford will have one at parts counter, not too costly, make sure you get one for a 95 or newer.

Thanks for the advice!

I will call the dealer and the Machine shop, cover both bases that way.
