Hey.
Truck in question is a 2001 XLT 4x4 4.0 SOHC 5spd manual. Truck currently has a '06 4.0L SOHC using all the '06 engines sensors except the MAF, and using the '01 engine/trans harness(except where I needed to carry over the '06 pigtails on the sensors/pigtails that were different than my '01 engine). New engine had 1,000 miles on it prior to installation into my '01.
Revving off of idle, there is a hiccup. Feels like a miss. I feel the same hiccup/miss/hesitation when driving down the road when the engine is put under load(going up a hill, accelerating faster than needed). This happens in every gear. I am not throwing any codes, no CEL's.
New engine has all the sensors, plugs, injectors, fuel rails that the 1,000 mile '06 engine came with. Plugs looked brand new when I pulled them prior to install. I did put on a brand new coil-pack as the one that came with the engine was busted from yanking out of the donor truck.
A good friend of mine suggests checking the TPS sensor out. I have not checked anything since the truck hit the road after the swap. I'm thinking something electrical/spark.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Shane
