Hi,
Well my son and I started working on the brakes originally because when you would come to a stop the brakes would work fine and then at just before you came to a stop the brakes would fade for a bit and then connect right when you stopped. This is what we replaced that I thought would fix it.
New master cylinder - bench bleed (I think we got all the air not 100% sure)
New front calipers on both wheels... one about 6 months ago and one now
New wheel cylinders on both back wheels.
Oh yeh all new fluid (as much as possible)
We bleed all the wheels.... in the back we started with the furthest from the master cylinder.... in front we started with the closest one.

Does anyone have any ideas why the brakes are still fading at the end of a stop???
Thanks Dave

When you say "fade" just before a stop, does the pedal actually sink to the floor but still stop the truck, or does the pedal stay "hard" but require more pressure to stop the truck?

If the pedal is high, but requires considerable force to stop the truck, sounds more like a booster issue......

Sorry, what I mean by fade it the pedal actually releases and sinks almost to the floor for a couple of seconds then catches again right at the end....

Does the peddle pulseate when being pressed? If so its one of the abs sensors on the front causing it to do that.

Guys,.... that was it.... took the fuse out and now no problems.... now what do I need to work on to make the abs work properly?????????????????
Thanks Dave

I would try and clean the ends of the abs sensors really well if the abs lights are not showing any codes. I replaced my sensor and mine is fine now cause I broke it when I tried to get it out.
