problem. gibson dual catback

i just installed the gibson cat back system on my truck, the install went fairly well, but the drivers side pipe is sitting about an 1/8th of an inch away from the shock and the passenger side is the same distance away from the leaf spring not too concerned about the pipe hitting the leaf but i am concerned of the shock, i wrapped some foil tape around the pipe in an effort to avoid the shock hitting the pipe and melting but i know that its not the perfect solution anyone else experience this?? and what should i do??

I found with the Gibson exhaust system; you have to rotate the different sections, after the muffler, to different positions to get the best fit before tightening the clamps. Initially my single swept Gibson exhaust was too close to the spare tire but with a little adjustment, I got plenty of clearance. When I started using a 31" spare tire I had to bend the hangar a little to get the clearance I wanted.

i ended up wrapping it in some kind of heat tape then over that with foil tape then 'costumized' it with a ratchet strap haha, its over an inch away from the shock now so i think we'll be fine thanks
