Not if he had a 6.4L. Those are just de-tuned International 640s. Same engine as what's in the big rigs, just a different program.

I just saw a similar video of a dodge, and one of a wrx

People dont realize it takes next to nothing to pull things that are on ice.

I pulled a jepe with my atv 2 years ago, nothing to get excited about

nothing to get excited about

I understand where you're coming from, but I got a different point from the story. This is a guy who is stopping and helping others in need and getting them out of a potentially dangerous situation. The world needs more people like this guy.

damn straight there are to many people these days who are just out for them self's and who will take what ever they can without giving, im always apt to help a stranded motorist when the snow is heavy

i pulled someone out of the snow this winter.:icon_thumby: he said he had a shovel, and when i said i had a strap he looked at me like as if i was retarded.

Uh, that isn't going to take much HP or TQ even to get it rolling, just traction.

And what are you talking about a "detuned 640"?

if i had 4WD and better tire i would have helped this winter but im still new to driving a manual and have only a 2WD with stock A/T tires, still fun sliding around

i saw a 1/2 ton chevy do the same thing when i lived in lincoln. the difference was it was on dry pavement. the guy tugged the big rig off the highway and into the truck stop. not sure if they caged the brakes to get it rolling or if the driver just wasn't paying attention, but when the chevy stopped, the rig kept rolling and slammed into the truck. when i drove past there was a puddle of atf under the chevy, i got a good laugh out of it.

As I mentione din a previous thread about pulling stuck folks out, its a sue happy world so you have to be careful.

I dont go out looking to make a save but if I know its going to be snowing Ill take my trail rig to work instead of my normal driver and if I see soemone stuck I stop and offer assistance contacting help, and if they ask if I can pull them I will hook em up and attempt it. But I dont go out looking for stuck people.

My brother is a fire fighter and he gives me a shout if some fo the less equipped guys cant get to the run I'll go get em and get them to the station.
