I have a friend who has a set of axles from a early 80s chevy.Is it possible to convert a right side differential to a left. I have an expert welder to do the welding.Is it worth an attempt or has anyone done it or seen it done?

I've seen the tubes switched side to side before on a chevy diff. Eventually the center section of the diff cracked and the tube fell out while wheeling.

I would find an axle with the diff on the proper side for your needs.

thanks! got my eye on a set of early bronco axles. maybe that will work out.
