Prking brake & fluid lights

I have the red light for the parking brake and or the fluid level are they one in the same two lights in there?

I'm guessing it's the fluid level it was low but not completely empty is there a reset or a float switch in there somewhere that I don't see or haven't look for yet? The brakes work "okay" although we are going to go through them completely on each wheel probably have the rotors turned or replace the usual drill but in the meantime?

I know GM uses a pressure switch for the same situation I await your answers... thank you!

RABS is separate from this, correct?

This is crazy, wiggle three wires and the parking brake fluid light gets dimmer. Push and wiggle the wires some more, the light goes out!

In the second picture, what is that?
On the driver side fender near the OBD plug

Yes, only one red brake light for both parking brake and low fluid.

You have a bad wire or a bad connection at the plug for the switch, but my understanding was the low fluid drops the float which completes the circuit, grounding the light.

Second capped plug is for some option that truck doesn't have. I am not sure what though. In that location the most likely candidate is cruise control, but I am not sure.

Thank you, it's like working on a Model T, this stuff is really Hokie but I guess it state-of-the-art back in the day.

Going to I start playing with the RABS next. Is it true that master cylinder is metric fittings and such?

The scary part is that the way these systems work hasn't changed much. It's just a module switching the light based on inputs from the exact same switches we used 30 years ago.

I don't know about the fittings on the master. The ones on the 95 Explorer are, but I have never handled the 93 Ranger MC personally.

Looks a lot like the plug for the underhood light on my truck. I can check wire colors on that tomorrow.

Wasn't too difficult to put the jumper on the plug once I got over the fear of shooting out the whole system

Looks like the master cylinder uses 9/16 inverted flare "thingy" to metric bubble flare M10 into the RABS. Out of the RABS should be standard 3/16 brake line & fittings.

After lots of homework I found that they make adapter steel brake lines!

So my list is growing, we are going to bypass the RABS if no one's guessed that by now

I get that secondary is the rear brakes
I've never really looked, are these a flare or a gasket/o ring type fitting?
