I'm looking for the correct name and a place to purchase the roller shade I've seen on some club cab Rangers. Believe it fastened at the rear window and pulls out to notches in the plastic behind the seats. I have the notches but no shade. Any help would be appreciated.

Thats about as good of a name as I can think of for it. I would check ebay or the local salvage yards around you. My 90 ranger has the spot for one but doesn't have it either. I don't really want one though as I am going to build a sub box to fit back there and it will be too tall.

I have a gray one I would possibly sell

"Privacy shade" works, but you'll turn up more threads (here and elsewhere) using "cargo cover" as your search-string.

In this 2008 thread on the same topic, I proposed that the shade should be silk-screened with a photograph of an EMPTY compartment, to deter thieves, lol...

Don't know if this was true across all eras, but when I was truck-shopping for mine in '99, ONLY Mazdas came with these... no matter how low-end the trim-level, if the Mazda had an ext. cab, it had the privacy shade... conversely, no matter how high-end or up-optioned your 1999 or 2000 *FORD* :flipoff: Ranger was... "no shade fo yu!" :bawling:

Really need the tan/beige one... but go ahead, post how much $$ you want for it.

... or if you're shy PM me a price... thanks.

My 1998 ford ranger super cab xlt came stock from the factory with the roll out shade.

Da bastiges at my stealership probably yanked it out of my '99, then forgot to "list it" as an "option"... :annoyed:

Bro, why the offense? Thought you were a wrench-meister, NOT a sales weenie...? Look, the dealership of which I speak was in LAS VEGAS, and they were a bit... (*PUN alert*)... shady. The family that owned the dealership had a long local history of... federal indictments. Just sayin...

For instance, the drop-in bedliner was right there on my paperwork, but oh the "tussle" to actually get them to fork it over... :thefinger:

My '08 doesn't have one, but I had a 1995 Ranger that had one and I wish my '08 did because I miss it.

I found a used one on eBay a few years ago and installed it in my '06.
