I have a 31 spline disk brake 8.8 with 4.10's, a Detroit locker, RuffStuff diff cover, and all the work done to get it under a rbv already done. My question is regarding the price. I haven't seen many 8.8's for sale here that are already built like this and I was curious to know what y'all think a reasonable price is for it.

I know when I exploded my factory 8.8 I went looking at local jy's for a 31 spline with 4.10 gears and the ONE that I did come across they wanted $65O for it

sent while I should be working, or fixing something,,,

I would pay $1200 for it if I needed 4.10 gears already set up, and of course all the brake components are in good order.

Im not cheap, ive found others wont pay nearly as much even though its easily $1500 to set up an 8.8 like that with Detroit and all new brake parts, plus perches and diff cover.

I see 1200 in my area with a lunchbox

Wow, our markets are very far apart. I could scoop up an explorer 8.8 all set up with a lunchbox between $500-$800 out my way.

I just built an explorer 8.8 for a Cherokee for a little over $1200.00 in parts.
4.10 8.8 31 spline $200.00
XJ spring conversion kit $150.00
New rotors $100.00
Detroit Locker $665.00
Solid Diff cover $70.00
Brake lines/fittings/paint/other misc stuff. $50.00

Had brand new pads and calipers on it so I cleared that expense.

Wow that was a lot more than I thought. Thanks guys if a friend of mine didn't bite on it I'll have it for sale on here.

My local market on something like that is around $700. It might be "worth" more but you know you don't get your money out of it.

Usually maybe 1/2-2/3 of what it cost you to build it.

I would give you at least $9.50 + tax.

But I am cheap.
