Previous owner cut the 4wd shift motor brown wire

Hi,

I have been searching around for a solution to this, but have not quite managed to track it down yet. I am the new owner of a 1996 3.0 XLT 4x4, and the previous owner took the 4wd shift motor off of the truck, and cut the brown wire. I have a replacement motor (original was lost), but I need to know what kind of connector to use on the brown wire to be able to put it in the plug. Or perhaps there is another way to splice/connect/deal with that brown wire?

On a somewhat similar note, does anyone know what size/length the bolts need to be to mount the motor on the transfer case? Seems to be 3 longer and 1 short, but the short also has a different thread pattern. Thanks in advance!

You are supposed to remove the brown wire from the connector and install it in the new one, not cut it.

Pics of where it was cut would be helpful.

The wire is a few inches long, not sure how long it is supposed to be as I obtained the truck in this condition. I know that you are supposed to remove it from the old connector, however that is not really an option for me at this point as the previous owner lost the old shift motor/bolts. I am just wondering if there is some type of connector that I can use to put it in the new plug, or if not, what wire/where it needs to be spliced into.
