I can rebuild the battery packs for power tools with this little jewel

Its a spot welder that tacks the Nickel contact strip to the cells to make the pack.I have had it a week now.
I can build a pack that you cant buy,all the way past the 3amp hour range.

can the standard chargers handle NiMh batteries? if not, then they won't last long...

nice setup though, wish I had one...

All of you higher end chargers will.I bought the Ryobi charger that will charge all 3...Nimh,Nicad and Li-Ion.It was only $40 and all my tools are Ryobi 18volt.
3/8 Drill,1/2 Hammer Drill,Circular Saw,Saws All,Braid Nailer/Stapler,Jig Saw.Hell I have a 18" Bar 18volt Chain Saw.....lol.

The whole setup ran about 10 grand.
I would have rather had a Tube Shark setup for bending Pipe..........lol.

We have one of those at work (interstate batteries). we do a lot of drill battery rebuilds. its fast, easy, cheaper, and more powerful than the ones you buy new. pretty fun to do too

Nice to know ............Iam just starting so I may need some tips......lol.

your set up is a hell of a lot nicer than ours

How much would you charge to rebuild some dewalt batteries just like the one in your pic? We have a bunch of them at work that don't charge anymore.

at my store i think its 60 bucks for 18v. commercial accounts are cheaper though. not sure how much they are new but when we build them they are built with a higher rating just like copperhead does.

Couldn't you just solder them?
To much heat.you can touch the weld point right after and its not hot at all.

RedneckSTX,check n your area for rebuilders or on line,daniel3507 may be able to help you.I will be local only.
About $60 per pack for 18 volt, that will get you a little better than the factory XRP pack from Dewalt.
