Prerunner project: F.O.R.D.

Jim- all you gotta do is pull that little plastic card out and give Dave a call, he can take care of the rest lol :D

It looks like I will have some parts coming to my house the 13th.

Now i just need to find your addresses and moving in to your old room with out your parents noticing.
O they will be mine. they will be Mine.

hahaha you can try all you like but believe me, my 12ga shot gun says otherwise lol :icon_thumby:

hey dude why didnt you run the leaves on the top of the dif..

Axle wrap my friend. for as long as these leafs are, they give a pretty bad axle wrap in soft suff with the springs on top. Plus Geoff designed the springs to work as a spring under setup.

yup! USPS lost part of the order i had ordered from dave, rest of the parts should be here by the end of the week (thanks dave for the awesome service!). odie hooked me up with a TTB dana 44 and 50 (incase the knuckles would work on the 44 ends, they will but the 44 will be plenty, THANKS ODIE!) so i can now put Daves kit on the front and even start the front cage. i have pics of all of the stuff from dave that ill post.

Also, i took a week off work (the last full week of august) so i can get into the ranger and get her movin. Plan is to get the new 9" under it, finish boxin the frame, and get the front suspension on. Damn i need a job in phoenix so i can work on this thing more :annoyed:

ok. took my week off work and got alot done on the ranger. Put the new 9" under (man, you talk about a huge difference from the 8.8 to the 9" lol) and aslo finished boxing in the frame front to back. I was gunna start puttin the front end kit on but i still need to get hiems for the beams. here are some pics of the progress. from here everything should start movin a bit faster. Keen eyes will notice i also straighten the rear part of the frame that was bent when i bought the truck

These are the beadlock wheels ill be runnin, from my dads rockcrawlin jeep. They were free so why not?? lol

very Nice. I cant wait to get back over there and see this thing in person. O and there is no way you are getting your old tires to fit on the new rims.
And I'm glad you are able to use that 9' and the 44 kuckles. and if you need some help give me a call.

huh? why not? they are 15" rims and my tires are 15s. they will swap right over.

yeah next time your over i should have most of the front end together and be startin on the engine cage :icon_welder:

why not get a stock 302 =]

would not be able to run in the deser class im entering. its basically the unlimited mid size truck kinda like the trophy trucks. rules are you have to have a v6 with no more than 4.5 displacement, motor must match vehicle make and no wider them 85 inches. there are a few others but nothin too major

those wells look wicked wide. How wide are both sets of wheels. O and when we get a chance I would like to snag up those Wheels when we get a chance.

they are just a 10" wide wheel. the ones on the rear end in the pic are not the bead lock ones. the beadlocks are 8" wide. Those other ones will be used for my spares. Ok, i wont be back to phoenix till the 19th and ill only have two swaped by then. I should have all four for you at the end of the month if that works

so you are making the front equall wide as the back? i figured it would look silly. quick question, if other guys are running 4liter or bigger engine, how is your 2.8 gonna compete? especially with big tires and sand? that all just dont add up.
