I go to sleep for one night and you guys do this? Damn, I kinda wish I didn't sleep and read this play by play, woulda pissed myself reading it.

Prerunner, give up. Some people can't swim, so they keep out of water. You can't fabricate, so please...put down that welder, you're going to kill someone with the next truck.

And if the frame was that rotted, why does the body look immaculate? (aside from you're hacking) I do auto body and I'll say 99% of the time, the body goes with the frame. Hell body usually goes first!

The body on my truck is nice with a few scratches and a bit of rust. The frame on the other hand is a goner with 2 cracks in it and some cross members are rotted out. I can see that happening to his truck.

HOWEVER, you should have bought two pieces of metal and learned how to weld on those. Not a $2000 truck and welded blocks on it to lift the body. I have absolutely no welding skills and I do not attempt to do any fab work. If you have the money, why don't you invest in taking a welding class at your local community college?

On a side note, are you related to the guy who used conduit as a roll cage on his truck?

Alright, time for me to butt into this conversation.

First, no one noticed that he threw some PIPE together to make this.

As for learning to weld and DGAFing this truck, you need to think of people OTHER than you who drive on the same streets. That truck is a deathtrap. If in fact you are planning another build, stay away from the truck for at least 6 months and spend your time researching "roll cage 101" on all the dezert racing forums. One of the first things explained in all of them is that a bad design is worse than no cage at all. Next note, NO MITER CUTS. Buy your ass a bender, not the kinker, a real bender and make yourself a bumper to learn how to bend. And in a offroad-prerunner style truck, there is no room for boxed tubing, period.

i didint build the truck to out perform or out last anything, i didnt give a shit as long as it worked its the first thing i ever tried to make when it comes to car/truck . and i didnt give a shit about the truck before i done anythig to it. the chassis was gone so it was either take it off the road and not use it or try to learn something and have some fucn and make something. and like i said i really 100% dont give a shit, what you guys say , i got what i wanted out of the project and that was to learn a little about welding. prove it? why would i be pretending? :icon_confused:

Next time take it off the road. And if you do decide to try and build again, step back look at the finished product and immediately schedule an appt at the nearest landfill.

And what stereotypes would you be talking about Chris?

Great here comes a Canadian civil war. LOL J/K

Well, looks like he built the cage first. The chemicals and fumes from the galvanized pipes must have gotten to him and that's the reasoning behind this monstrosity.

:D

hahaha no I'm not looking to start another war with mainland Canada but theirs no need to paint us all with the same brush.

Dude. Your "new" frame you posted pics of is FLAT. It is ALL rectangle tube! When you stuff your rear suspension your axle will hit the frame. Got it?

Second WHY ARE YOU USING GALVANIZED PIPE????? That is NOT a cage but you will figure that out the first time you roll it.

I am pretty sure you're a ****ing troll.

man that ant my new chassis , was a pic of the chassis when i was building it, u said u wanted me to prove i owned the truck so i posted those

u can say what u want to say, but im telling u the chassis was gone!!. the back part of the chassis was GONE 100% . the front wasnt to bad. but the underneath was gone in some spots but not as bad as the rear.. yeah yeah i know what u mean about the body going with the chassis.. i dont understand why it was so bad either, but it was

i think before you do anything on the truck your building you should invest in a welding class

And what stereotypes would you be talking about Chris?

What do you think?

I'm not saying they're true, in fact I don't think they are. I'm just pointing out that guys like this are where the stereotypes come from.

dangerranger911 where did you get those pics do you know the guy lol

I just got to ask...

Did you really think that you were gonna get your money back out of the truck once you did all that shit to it?

I know you're not selling it now, but don't you understand that turning a truck into an abortion lowers the value?
