My truck i just bought has no power windows or door locks. can i just go to a wrecking yard and just buy all the parts, power regulators , switches and door actuators? will this stuff just bolt in is it pre wired?p.s. what about cruise control? truck is a 2000 xlt thanks Bill.

LMC truck sells a power window kit for the older rangers, if anything you could goto their website and look to see if they sell one for your vehicle, and if they do, see if you can look at the instructions or items they are going to send in the kit to make your decision.

Um, short answer, no.

Long answer: Those functions will in some way be routed through your GEM, it needs to be hooked up to the GEM, which means it needs a different dash harness. What I would do, personally, is go grab the parts and custom fab some wires. The switches, motors, and actuators can take full system voltage and do normally. the only hard part would be getting circuit protection in it, and if you are good enough you should just be able to wire right into some empty slots in the fuse box.

plus for you to sit down and figure out where ever wire will on the stock harnes
will be hell !!!!!

AMEN to that.
