Power Window Auto Switch

I have a 2001 and was wondering if there would be a way to modify something in order to make the passenger side window auto also. Has anyone tried this?

On the older trucks the auto down on the driver's window was a separate module between the switch and the motor. Although I haven't actually done it, I see no reason on the older trucks that one of these modules couldn't be added to the passenger door, or to the "up" wires, for that matter.

I simply don't know on a truck as new as yours. I suspect that it's not a separate module in the door, as Ford started going nuts with their "smart" this-and-that boxes designs.

I don't see why not one of the older modules could be added to the passenger side on yours, but then again on your truck passenger auto-down might be programmable, or added with plug-in hardware.

Great question. I do use mine almost every time I yell at the neighbors kids.... Wish it worked for the UP direction too, especially when I get close to Manteca. Some manufactures hide a feature that most folks don't know about. It's handy here in the hot Texas regions. >'Yall mash" down the unlock button on the keyless remote for more than 2 seconds, and all (both) the windows go all the way down cooling the black interior quick like. Try it on your other car, it may surprise you & actually work.
