Hey guys,

I own a 1992 Ford Ranger with 3.0L V6 engine. Has anyone ever removed the power steering reservoir from the pump. How did you do this? I want to replace the O-rings. Can this even be done?

Thanks!

I just ordered the seal kit for my 1988 and will be attempting the same thing in the next couple of days. Any info on it would be appreciated.

on the 4.0's pump, you just unbolt the lines and the reservoir pops right off the back. theres a big o-ring that seals around the body and i think another seal near the lines...

i dont know if the 3.0 and the 4.0 use the same pump though...

mine fell off when i pulled my motor so my guess is that you just have to pull hard enough and it should pop off, there is an o ring where the reservoir overlaps the pump and on one of the lines
