Power steering pump bracket

When I bought my B2 the bracket that attaches to the front motor only had one bolt holding it in place. I'm doing the 2.9 swap and that bracket seems off. If I attach the part that runs back and mounts to the top of exhaust manifold where the stud comes up for the oil check tube then I can't get the bracket to mount to the front of the motor. I might need to take the power steering pulley off and swap brackets. I think mine is bent. Is there a tool to remove the pulley?

Any tricks to remove it?

There is a special puller for removing and installing the PS pulley. Most parts stores should have one in their rental kits.

Be aware that not all 2.9 P/S brackets are the same

There are two versions of the cast aluminum piece.

There is a boss block on the later blocks that is taller and the aluminum bracket is a slightly different shape to accomodate this difference, so if the bolts don't align properly when you are assembling the aluminum piece to the block then the steel piece to the aluminum piece STOP and get the "other" bracket.

Sadly I don't remember when they made the switch, I THINK it was 1989 but don't quote me on that...
