1994 Ranger 2wd 2.3 manual 250k+. I'm getting a 519 code. Power steering pressure switch open. Drive it a couple miles and you can barely smell rubber from the belt. All other pulleys spin okay. No squealing. No binding in steering linkage. Replaced pump. Used Mercon. Bled air. Same code and issues now with occasional pump noise. Took return hose off. Pumps while cranking. The power assist is somewhat intermittent w a hint of wander when moving the wheel on test drive about same as before. All that's left is the gearbox. Please NO!!! Thoughts? Ideas? HELP? Thanks in advance.
