Power Seat Not Working

I have a '91 Ranger STX. I got it for nothing and I've only had it a couple of months. I'm working on getting things functional again. The driver's side seat is a power seat, and it hasn't worked since I got the truck. I unplugged the power supply to the bottom of the seat and tested it and it has power. I'm going to take the seat out an take a look underneath and see if I can figure anything out. I was just wondering if there is any common problems with these things, or if someone might have any ideas.

if your seat has a memory the module is prone to failure,i usually just bypass it.if not check the ground wire.i'm assuming no functions are working(back/forward-up/down-tilt)so it's probably not the motors as they will not all go at the same time unless it's been immersed.

Where exactly is the memory module for the seat located? I am going to remove the seat put it on the bench for testing. Is it located in the seat itself?

it's under the seat with the motors.a box with a bunch of wires coming out of it.if there's no memory function theres no box.if there is you need to find the power wire going in and the one coming out to the switch assembly and bridge them.i would be more specific but it's been about two years since i've had to do this and don't remember wire colors or other specifics.
