I have a 99 Ranger off road 4.0L. I recently figured out that plugs were fouling due to cracked heads. Probably ran with cracked heads for about 10K miles. I changed the heads. Change the fuel filter, wires, plugs, thermo, water pump.
The truck runs fine, but I believe it should have more power (but I may just be expecting too much) ?
I checked the vacuum which stays at round 20 and when reved and held will go up to 22 pretty steady.
The fuel pressure goe to about 60 and after the ignition is turned off after about 5 minutes it is 55.
Cleaned the MAF.
Did a leak down test and all looks good.
No codes either.
I run at about 2700rpm / 70-75 miles/perHR
Any other ideas ?
