30 hp on an properly functioning oem engine with just tuning is highly unlikely.

60 is impossible.

30 to 60 from a chip?!
Your friends are pulling your leg, or just dumb enough to believe the crap posted on Ebay...
You say your engine does 190... Do you have anything to prove/support that, or is that just what the factory said it does?

Chips exist, but they give more like 5-10hp if they do anything.

Oh SNAP! I see it now.
We are not going to be telling people to use the search anymore! We'll just link them the over-posted crap thread!

That's hilarious, maybe we could all put that link in our signatures!

diesels are the only stock motors that will benfit from a tuner IMHO

And that's because the diesels in the pickups are the same physical engine that is found in big rigs, it's just detuned to meet emissions.

I don't completely agree with that. I have yet to see a single "big rig" (box trucks not included) with a powerstroke or duramax in it. Im not trying to be a dick here, and if im wrong please correct me.

Powerstrokes are International engines. The 6.0 and 6.4 Strokes are the same engines found in International trucks. I can open the hood of an International 18-wheeler with the 6000 or 6400 series engine, pull the heads off, and do head gaskets easier than I can on a 6.0L or 6.4L Powerstroke because its the same engine, but there is less truck in my way and I don't have to waste 4 hours pulling the cab off first.

D-max is built by Detroit.

Well I stand corrected. maybe its just the ones ive seen but they looked nothing like a 6.0 or a 6.4. Guess I learn something new each day.

Not all International trucks get those engines. They make a lot of others that are also available in the 18 wheelers, but they use those two as well. International makes a number of inlines that were never available as Powerstrokes.

Well thats good to know. At least im not totally ignorant.

VT 365 is internationals name for the ford 6.0 IIRC

Not true at all. Diesels are just capable of much bigger gains.

Let me rephrase that, diesels are the only stock motors that will benfit from a tuner enough to justify the cost IMHO
