1995 Katana 600 @110(MPH) had to take it easy, never been on that road before (or since ) about a 40 degree lean angle, plenty more to go

You'd probably pick up some power with a 2:1 and a muffler as opposed to straight pipes.
Yep, drag pipes are losing around 8bhp, motor cant spin fast enough to use them (they are 'tuned' for about 8,500~9,000rpm)
Personally I'm not a fan of the VF range, had way too many issues with the early ones and even the first of the gear driven cam models (then I moved to a Suzuki/BMW/Yamaha dealers)

Best pic I have and it's from 2006 just after I bought it.

It's also got different mirrors (need replacing), deep dish bezels (need replacing) on the turns, ISO grips (need replacing), and a Corbin Gunfighter seat (needed recovering, seeing a pattern?). Didn't ride much for about 4 years and its been exposed to the elements for most of the last 6 so it's in need of a little TLC now. Recently had the sun damaged Corbin seat recovered in marine grade vinyl, figured it'd hold up better since I still don't have a proper place to park it. Other items have flaking chrome or deteriorated rubber, but nothing that affects operation.

Got a set of Tsukayu Strong Hardbags for it, just waiting for the weather to cooperate to I can finish painting them.

Wanted list:
  • Batwing Fairing
  • Progressive 412 11" shocks (stock are ~12")
  • Progressive lowering fork springs
  • Tail/Turn lights in bags (rework rear fender lighting)
  • Money
  • Patience to do all of it

If I can get my ass in bed on time I think I'm going to ride it to work :yahoo: at 4 am tomorrow :annoyed:.

EDIT: Y'all mentioning speeds, I've had it at 110 once on the interstate just to see what it would so. I think it would do more, but that was more than fast enough for me on 2 wheels. Y'all can keep your 155 rockets, I like my <100 mph cruiser just fine. Though I do think the higher speeds (60-100 mph) will be more comfortable once I get a fairing and maybe a backrest for the Corbin.

Has anybody noticed the abundance of Hondas in here?

When was that picture of The Dragon taken? According to several online sources it's now a 35 mph speed zone with police so close together they regularly crash into one another trying to catch speeders. At least here on the TN side.

I'd really like to try it sometime if the internet is wrong. 'Course I probably wouldn't get above 35 for long enough to get caught anyway.:D

Also, if anyone has a pair of those side panels for my Xl350 cheaper than E-Bay at $70 a piece for new Thai reproductions, PM me. I'm seriously considering making a mold and melting an old plastic car panel down to make some more. I could probably use some spares anyway.

Also to satisfy picture requirement:

It's ugly but it runs like a new one now. Maybe a little better what with the 350 cam in the 250. I'm not sure there was a difference though

Trying to sale it to fund a new gaming computer build.

Senor Noob: The pic of me on The Dragon was taken last year in May. No issues with cops, saw some, never got hassled.

I can't wait to get mine. The gf hates the idea of getting one looking at a 14 ninja 300 abs or 12 ninja 250
