Street bikes, dirt bikes, Harleys, Moto Guzzis, hell I don't care.

As long as it has two wheels. :icon_thumby:

Owned by me since 2000, it's a 1999 Honda VFR800 Interceptor, not exactly stock. 80,200 kilometers on the odometer, written off by an errant car in 2009 and rebuilt by myself.

You can see what it looked like "before" in my Avatar over there.....

At one point, it was merely an engine, sitting on the floor, with only the fuel injection and wiring harness attached.

Been to California a couple of times, as well as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas, Wyoming and Colorado.

Did a few more mods this off-season, I've got a big toolbox, an even bigger garage, and VERY VERY long winters. Took these pics today.

Sorry, they're just Iphone pics, so it only gets so good........

Ahhh... the VFR's. I very much would like to have one.

Here is mine. 1982 Honda CB750F with 93 GSXR Carbs, 01 R6 Master Cylinder, and 01 CBR coils and wires:

You'd probably pick up some power with a 2:1 and a muffler as opposed to straight pipes. Better scavenging.

Maybe a nice set of Rinehart pipes? They sound great on my brother's Road King.

My '89 Hawk GT. It's currently under the knife.

New tank (from a NTV650 Revere), Corbin seat, repainted in the above color (Ford Sonic Blue Pearl), rebuilt forks and a few other things. I'm still trying to find a used rear shock for it too.

A lot of guys have done the CBR wheel swap up front and VFR wheel swap out back to run radial tires.

As for the shock, ring Jamie here, he does a lot of work on VFR and VF stuff and may be able to help:

I thought about swapping forks but decided to go the cheap route and just get new springs and seals. I can always upgrade down the road if I want, front ends are fairly cheap. As for the shock, it's not so much finding one, but throwing down the cash. There are 3 for sale right now on the Hawk forum but all around $500. I won't be riding the bike for another 6 months when I move back up to Seattle, so I have some time.

Jamie can rebuild your stock shock with new seals and a fresh oil/nitrogen charge.

Give him a holler. No affiliation on my part, but several of the guys on my VFR forum have used his services and been happy.

I am kinda surprised there aren't more motorcyclists on this forum... or at least dirt bikers.
