post your gen 1 custom steering wheel pics

Hey all, looking for ideas on what you have placed in your 1st gen truck's steering wheels, and do you like the feel of the wheel as you drive....

Sometimes a neat looking steering wheel just doesn't feel right when it is actually being used as a steering wheel.

Only advice I can offer is to say that the "smaller" steering wheels will probably block large portions of your gauges... At least the one I had did.

I remember my Gen1 had the optional GT/sport/whatever optional steering wheel that looked like this.

Can be found in early 80's Mustangs, Cougars, and Thunderbirds. You'll also need the turn signal switch, since pressing in the signal lever was the horn.

Thanks for the advice noob, Never even thought about that aspect till you mentioned it.

That wheel looks nice Alberta. looks like you did some custom work on the whole console/gauge section there. looks sharp.

I said my truck had a wheel like this, meaning that it is a picture I found of the relavent steering wheel. It is nothing I own.
