I'm swapping 95+ knuckles onto my 92 Ranger, I've had these knuckles almost a year and just noticed today after I put them on that someone cut the outer wheel bearing off at one time and gouged the hell out of the spindle right on the surface the bearing spins on. :bawling: I have access to a press, is it possible to swap the spindle from my old knuckle onto the new knuckle?

The bearings don't spin on the spindle unless they seize. Unless the gouge is very deep or in a bad place it probably won't affect too much.

oh ya? I imagine the truck these knuckles came off of drove like this, its definitely done with a cutoff wheel and is maybe 1/8" deep, its right where the outer bearing sits on the spindle.

The thing is theres going to be a bit more load on these bearings, I'm running 13" Cobra Mustang brake rotors and 17" mustang wheels.

I suppose I could give it a try, if it makes noise then I'll replace it, its not going to be my everyday driver when its done.
