Possible mod to make cup holder better?

Today as my burger king soda flew from my left cup holder o the passenger floorboard I wondered(after screaming obsenities) if anyone has come up with a mod to make the cupholder secure drinks better? My silverado has a rubber tab at each corner but, that makes i tough to pick up the cup to take a drink. I dk what to do but om tired of being covered in my drinks and I think he answer is something inserted thats rubber related

if it was taller it would help, try making a taller one

think of how a lava lamp is packaged... now obviously you wouldn't want it all the way up, but if you do it so that there is material extending say 4" from the cup holder, that would help tremendously.

Usually for me those small 'extenders' in the bottom secure most any smaller beverage and the sides hold most anything else. How big was this cup?

I just built a new one out of fiberglass to hold the large QT cups and I placed it up in the groove of the seat were the third person would set in a 60/40 seat. so I dont have move from my postion of comfort. Ya I know Im too fat and lazy to move for my drink.

Yeah, just extend the ring in your cup holder.

you know I think it is a height issue, the cups arent to fat but too tall.

5spd rangers have an built in extension for the cup holder
pretty handy

can hardly see em there, but i think they would fit yours, or custom buid one with the 5spd one and the auto one

Just look at his pic, you can see matt has the rings in his cup holders, he just may need to clean it to use them.

Man it would have been nice in the 4x4 but its not there. I modifed my 60/40 seats too buckets and installed a explorer console all this to hold one cup of coffee.

my 93 4x4 came with the extendable cupholders like in this picture...
