possable clutch problems

well to start with less then a year ago i bought a 1989 ford ranger 2.9 v6 5 speed mazda m50d 4wd for a parts truck but i have been running it around the farm just to check everything out and all seemed good i also check the fluids , lately there has been a kind of a beep comeing from the clutch area when letting out the clutch pedel and this evening i was driveing it some and when i went to park it was haveing a hard time backing up because of its a little muddy where i park it and afterward the clutch pedel was engugeing higher up from the floor then in the past , just wondering if this is something bad or just something to ignore , thanks for any thoughts
