posi??

Except it will still spin only one tire after the axleshaft breaks....

Man not every one is hard core skinny pedal junkie, My bronco came with a posi 7.5 has 21 years of driving on it with out any troubles whats so ever.

same as the d28 four wheels every bloody day. from pavement to the machine and back to pavement. at this point 9 miles of skidder trails around stumps, thru mud holes, Hell they bring in fuel to my excavator on a tracked machine. with out any breakage ever!

Then during spring break up we deal with gumbo mud. sticks to everything like glue. never broke a part not once. d28 and 7.5...

Now i see for real hard core junkies rock climping, going 9-o thru a mud pit just for the hell of okay,,, heavier axles are a must, and a pretty smart upgrade, But for the occasional week end warrior, or driving in snow conditions. a little trail riding, a stock equipment set up will do for 90% of the drivers.

Find yourself an 8.8" out of any '90-'92 4.0L Ranger with the stock Traction-Lok L/S. Same exact width as your stock axle, and should eliminate that one-wheel-peel (you can repack the L/S clutches to make it grip even tighter if you want as well). Except for possibly having to swap your driveshaft (or modify the pinion flange), it bolts right in.

thanks for the info

thanks for the info

you should be able to find a posi 7.5 gears easly enough and just change the gears out. looks like your just wanting a little extra traction for the street scene, nice truck you have, even though lowered trucks are not my flavour, still good looking ride.

thanks i would have lifted it if it were 4wd but thats why i have my 93 150

hey I would help you put in a LSD if you want. i found one at the local u-pull-it lot the other day, but they wanted $69 just for the diff. I told them to shove it. but if you're willing to pay the money, i'm sure we can find you another one and I would help you put it in. would take less then an hour.

thanks but i know i can do it its just know what to put in

i came across this, door axle codes. so if your junk yarding and looking for axles or gears. it aleast lets u know what to look for.

i know posi is a chevy term but who cares

i know, i feel the same as you. some people here bleed blue, so you'll here them bitch about everything. like the guy i saw complaining to someone else because he painted his 2.3Turbo motor ford blue and not the factory black, or grey. :annoyed:

the only time i hear tracloc is on this website everybody says posi its way more common

Just razzing that's all. It's all good. It's already been suggested to look for a trac-loc so I thought I'd give ya crap for calling it a Posi!
