So on ebay there is someone selling a Posi out of a ranger 2001 ranger for $100 obo. How hard is this to install. I dont have any special tools and it it involves setting up the gears I wont even go there. I dont really wanna pay someone because money is tight, but it would be nice to have a Limited slip over the silly open differential my truck came with.

well man if you dont have the cash to pay some one to do it nor do you have the tools to do it i would stay away from it an look for a complete ls rear end an swap it that way..

It takes special tools to get the tolerances perfect, otherwise don't bother. Get a No-slip locker, smooth cornering and fully locks when you need it, best of all no gear setup is required.

Thanks guys. Like I said its something I dont really need and I have better things I can spend the money on. So I guess I will stay away. A whole rear axle would be much easier to install.

you should be able to pick up a hole rear end for 100-150 bucks.. i paid 100 for mine at the local yard an pulled it my self.
