So I've been thinking about what kind of system I'd like to put in my 97. It's a singlecab so pretty limited on space. I have seen a couple slammed trucks with Port-through sub boxes around town. I've never really been into big systems but I'm beginning to love some of my buddies systems. But, If I'm gonna do a system I'm going to do it big the FIRST time. I dont want to buy, sell, buy sell like they have done; I just want it good the first time and over with.
So I'm thinking to cut through the cab and bed and weld it water-tight in the bed to encase 2 12" or 15" subs and amps depending on the subs. It is going to be spendy. after I've searched around I am guessing about a grand. I talked to the local audio shop and they said that they would charge at leas $600 for the work alone
, so I'll do that myself. But what should I look out for? any particular subs or amps to stay away from? It's a street rod in the making, so not too much flex to worry about. Thanks everybody.
